How-To: Track and Manage Health on Individual IDs with Performance Beef (Step-by-Step Guide)

Edit a single animal:

• Click the Overview tab on the left side of Performance Beef
• Select the animal by clicking the circle on the far left of the row
  • The search box in the upper right corner and drop down filters can help to find the individual ID.
• When the desired animal is selected, click Edit in the lower right corner. 
• Make adjustments to the individual animal.
• Click the green Save button in the top left corner to save and return to Overview.

Edit multiple animals simultaneously:

The bulk updater is used when you have an equipment malfunction and need to apply a processing event to a large number of animals.The feature may also be used to move cattle from one pasture to another, input a treatment or diagnosis to multiple animals, reassign animals to a new herd, etc.

• Click the Overview tab on the left side of Performance Ranch’s web view.
• Select the animals by clicking the circle on the far left of the row
  • Animals can be filtered by roles, genders, herds, and/or pastures at the top of the screen.
  • Animals can also be sorted using the arrows on each header (ID, gender, last diagnosed, etc.)
  • The search box in the upper right corner can also help find animals by ID.
• Once the desired animals are selected, select Edit in the lower right corner.
• You can edit each individual ID individually or simply tap the Yes/No button in the top right corner to mass edit all IDs you selected.
  
  • Edit Brand/Tattoo, Herd, Pasture, Gender, Role, Breed, Coat Color, Horned Status, Origin and Purchase Date, Birth Date and Birth Weight, Birth Pasture, Sire ID, Dam ID, Dam Body Condition Score, Management Code, Calving Ease, Vigor, Weaning, Past Weights, Past Treatments
• Make as many edits as desired then click Save in the upper left corner.
