Auction Advisor: Live and Feeder

Whether you are at the sale barn or purchasing online, Cattle Krush auction advisors are here to help you bring back your confidence while buying cattle. Learn how it can help you make better purchasing decisions

Auction Advisor: Live

1. Click the Auction tab on the left side of your Cattle Krush account.
2. Click on the white box to the right of Avg. Start Weight and select the correct starting weight for the cattle up for auction.
3. Continue entering the following information:
   1. Target Finish Weight
   2. Rate of Gain
   3. Cost of Gain
   4. Live Basis (if applicable)
   5. Start Date (this will default to the current date)
4. Enter the starting auction price/cwt for the lot of cattle by clicking in the white box directly above the - and + buttons.
5. When the bid price fluctuates, click the - or + buttons to change the bid price within Cattle Krush. This will calculate the profit per head displayed in the green Profit box below. The Live Break Even/cwt will be displayed above the bid price box.

Auction Advisor: Feeder

1. Click the Feeder tab on the left side of your Cattle Krush account.
2. Click on the white box to the right of Avg. Start Weight and select the correct starting weight for the cattle up for auction.
3. Continue entering the following information:
   1. Target Finish Weight
   2. Rate of Gain
   3. Cost of Gain
   4. Feeder Basis (if applicable)
   5. Start Date (this will default to the current date)
4. Enter the starting auction price/cwt for the lot of cattle by clicking in the white box directly above the - and + buttons.
5. When the bid price fluctuates, click the - or + buttons to change the bid price within Cattle Krush. This will calculate the profit per head displayed in the green Profit box below. The Feeder Break Even/cwt will be displayed above the bid price box.
