Begin evaluating the efficiency of your business’ commodity usage with the help of Analytics within Performance Beef. Read the steps below to take a deeper look into your daily feed history.
- Click the Analytics tab on the left side of the screen.
- Click the Pen/Group drop-down box on the far left side of the screen and choose a pen or group to view.
- Click the second drop-down box on the top of the page and select one of the options below to visualize commodity usage:
- Feed Times: Displays per pen historical feed times, including multiple drops a day (up to four drops/deliveries).
Note: Feed times are logged when feed data is saved to our servers. This information will be overwritten anytime the confirm button within the Delivery App is hit or during the system update at midnight as data may be re-saved to our server.
b. Target Deviation As Fed: The amount of As Fed pounds over or under fed to a group or pen based on the original As Fed Target Weight for each day.
c. Target Deviation Dry Matter: The amount of Dry Matter in pounds over or under fed to a group or pen based on the original Dry Matter Target Weight for each day.

d. Dry Matter % (per pen or group): The breakdown of ingredients being fed to each pen and the Dry Matter percentage associated with each ingredient. With this pie chart, you can see which ingredients provide the most dry matter intake over time.
e. As Fed % (per pen or group): The breakdown of ingredients being fed to each pen and the as fed weight percentage associated with each ingredient over time.
Note: These charts can be exported by clicking the Export button on the top right corner of the page. Choose the type of file you want to download by clicking the three white bars on the top right corner of the chart.
The analytics highlighted above are all centered around visualizing the accuracy of daily feeding. Feed times, pounds fed and target weight deviation give everyone on your operation a sense of accountability. Like most of the analytics provided within Performance Beef, all of this data is broken down daily. This allows you to quickly identify commodity usage outliers with ease. With this information at your fingertips, you and your trusted advisors can gain more insight on daily operations and start making decisions to improve operational efficiency.
