Moving Cattle Throughout Your Operation

Keep your account up to date by staying on top of cattle relocation with Performance Beef. Use this article to learn how to enter movements that have occurred in your operation.

  1. Click Overview on the left side of the screen within your Performance Beef account. 
  2. In the top right corner, click the green +/- Head button.
  3. Click the green Moved button on the right side of the screen. 
  4. Move cattle by Group:
    1. Enter date the cattle were moved, Group ID(s) of moved cattle, original Pen ID, Pen ID of destination and head count that moved.

Note: If multiple groups are chosen, make sure the groups are in a single pen.

 5.   Moving cattle by Pen:

         a.   Enter date cattle were moved, original Pen ID, Group ID(s) of moved cattle, Pen ID of                  destination and head count that moved.
        b.   Click the green Preview button on the top left corner of the screen to save the                              move.
        c.   Click the green Confirm button on the lower right corner of the pop-up window.

 

This feature not only allows you to track movements, but also provides headcount awareness to yourself and your farm hands. With this insight, you can make informed decisions to appropriately sort cattle by condition and set feed call adjustments.
