Creating Your Scale-Tec POINT Account

The Scale-Tec POINT app saves you time while trying to customize your new Point scale head. Use the steps below to download the Scale-Tec POINT app and create an account today.

1. On your iPad/iPhone home screen, click on the App Store icon (Blue icon with a white “A").
2. Click Search on the bottom right corner of the screen and type Scale Tec Point in the search bar.
3. Click the GET button to the right of the Scale-Tec POINT app.
4. Click the Install button. Please be patient as the installation may take a moment. Make sure your device has a solid WiFi or cellular data connection. 
5. Click the Open button.
6. A prompt will appear to grant Bluetooth connection to the POINT app, click OK.
7. If you do not already have a Scale-Tec account, click Create My Account.
8. Enter your first name, last name, and email address. Click Next.

 9.   Create a password and re-enter your password. Click Next.

10.  Enter your Company/Farm Name, Address, and phone number. Click Create Account.

11.  Press the power button on your POINT scale head. 

12.  Follow the prompts on your screen of your device to complete the setup process.

The Scale-Tec POINT app is necessary for Performance Beef users for scale calibration, scale head support, and scale head settings via the settings within the app. Scale calibration is essential to ensuring your cattle are fed accurately, thus maintaining accurate feed records and costs. Reasons for calibration include 1) re-establishing a power source to your mixer/wagon or 2) using the scale head with a different wagon as each calibration is unique to the weight bars on the mixer/wagon.
