How-To: Navigate Web Settings in Performance Beef (Step-by-Step Guide)

Account Sharing/Adding an Owner

Include your trusted advisors in decision making for your operation by sharing your Performance Beef account today. The steps below will teach you how to share your account with trusted advisers and owners.

1. Click the Account Settings button on the bottom of your Performance Beef toolbar.
2. Scroll down until you see the Account Sharing section. If needed, click on the arrow on the right side of the screen to expand the section.
3. Under Share My Account or Owners, click on the Add New Shared Account or Add New Owner and enter the email you want to share your account with and the permission level. Please see permission levels below. 
   1. Full Access Editable: Full access to the entire account and grants the ability to make edits.
   2. Full Access Read-Only: Full access to the entire account with no ability to make edits.
   3. Limited Financial, Editable: Access to everything on the account, hides all financial information reports but shows feed and other inventory prices. Grants the ability to make edits.
   4. Limited Financial, Read Only: Access to everything on the account, hides financial information on reports but shows feed and other inventory prices with no ability to make edits.
   5. No Access: No access to entire account.
   6. No Financial Editable: Access to everything on the account, excluding financial information and grants the ability to make edits.
   7. No Financial Read-Only: Access to everything on the account, excluding financial information and no ability to make edits.
   8. Feeding and Processing, Editable: Access to Overview, Delivery and Health on the web with ability to make edits. Delivery App and Processing App full access.
   9. Feeding and Processing, Read Only Web: Access to Overview, Delivery and Health on the web with no ability to make edits. Delivery App and Processing App full access.
4. Click the Add button on the bottom right corner when finished. 
   1. If the email address has not been shared to a Performance Beef account, you will be prompted to create a password for them. Enter and confirm the password in the two boxes then click the Confirm button.

When you share your account with someone, that person can access your account by signing into Performance Beef with their email and password. Once they have access to your account, certain account settings will be unavailable to them, as they are not the account owner. Depending on the access set, the shared user can enter and edit rations, fed amounts, feed calls and view reports.

Account Settings

To update your Account Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

To update any personal account information you can edit the boxes under account settings, after making edits they will automatically save.

Update Password

To update your Password, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

To update your password select the update password button, type in your current password and then confirm your new password.

Payment

To update your Payment, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef tool bar.

1. Scroll down to the Payment section and select add card or add bank.
1. Type in your financial information related to the selected payment
2. Click Save to update Payment information.
2. Update Subscription
1. To put your account on pause you can select update subscription and confirm with the red pause button.

Personalization Settings

To update your Personalization Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Select the drop down box and choose the theme you prefer to have your Performance Beef account on.

Localization Settings

To update your Localization Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Select the drop down box and choose language that you want to have on your Performance Beef Account.

Tab Bar

To update your Tab Bar, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

1. Manage Tabs:
1. Allows you to manage the tabs in your Performance Beef account by grabbing the 3 dots on the left hand side of each tab and dragging them in the order you would like to view them.
2. For tabs you do not want to see in your Performance Beef select the minus sign the to the left of the tab
3. Select Save once all the changes are made.
2. Manage Invoices
1. To display invoices, select the drop down and choose show

System Settings

To update your System Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

1. Number of Feed Deliveries/Day:
1. Select the number of drops to each pen.
2. Delivery Behavior:
1. Delivery Page + Overview Target Backup
2. Delivery Page Only
3. Yardage:
1. Yardage Per Group or Yardage Per Pen
4. Delivery Mode:
1. Default Mode (Targeted Delivery) or Full Batch
5. Delivery Auto Adjust:
1. Next Drop - As Fed
2. Last Drop - As Fed
3. Distribute - As Fed
6. Bunk Score:
1. By Pen or By Drop

Rounding Options

To update your Rounding Options, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Choose how you want your rounding settings set for Currency, Feed Weights/Large Weights and Delivery/Scale App Weights.

Label Settings

To update your Label Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Update labels for the following items: Currency, Weight, Tons/Tonnes, Temperature, Wind Speed, Length Units, Area Units and Per CWT/Per Weight Unit

Overview Settings

To update your Overview Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

1. DMI/Day and As Fed or As Fed Only
2. Maintain Target
1. Maintain As Fed or Maintain DMI

Ration Settings

To update your Ration Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

1. Ration Page Display
1. As Fed Percentage, Dry Matter Percentage or As Fed and Dry Matter
2. Maintain Ration %
1. As Fed Percentage or Dry Matter Percentage

Report Settings

To update your Report Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

1. Average Daily Gain
1. Custom Value or System Generated
2. Show Pen Yardage Rates
1. Show Pen Rate and Total Yardage Cost, Show Total Yardage Cost Only, or Hide Pen Rate and Total Yardage Cost
3. Closeout Report Visibility Settings
1. Select the data points you would like to see on your closeout
4. Manage Groups
1. Archive closed groups
5. Revenue Report Settings
1. Select archived group or exclude them

Connect

To Connect your Performance Beef Account with QuickBooks or Precision Livestock Technologies, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Email Settings

To update your Email Settings, select the Account tab on your Performance Beef toolbar.

Add an email(s) to stay current on daily happenings on your feedlot with the help of a daily Delivery Report, Inventory Alerts and Health Report.

Export

Download data right from your Performance Beef Account using the Export function in your Account Settings.

Account Management

Sign Out of Other Devices: Selecting this will log out all other devices and will require them to sign back in.

New Day

Manual new day allows you to advance your account one day before the day is over. Starting a new day will place all load data into the sheets and reset all loads to 0. This function will also reset all bunk scores to 'N/A' and all new changes will be considered as next day changes. Cattle movements, feed call adjustments for the next day and pre-loading tomorrow’s first load of feed are all reasons to manually advance your account to a new day. Only advance to a new day if you are completely done feeding and done making any other changes to your account with today’s timestamp.
